My brother knew I intended to make the trip to see family . While I was climbing my mountain of obligations , the years rolled on . I did not see signs of a storm . When I think of how long I waited to make the trip , thereby losing a chance to be with him , I get numb . I ’ m afraid to allow myself to react to the mistake I made , not remembering what was important . Don ’ t go there , it is suffocatingly painful .
