Wide Open Motorcycle Magazine was capably
represented by Alice, Miss March, and Ally, Miss
April, with Ralph’s and Jesse’s bikes on view.
B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) were on site
supporting their mission that “no child deserves
to live in fear”. One of the more colorful exhibits
featured an attractive redhead, named Rose, modeling for The Kustom Kulture Shop from Merriam,
KS. Not only could you check out the quality hand
painted pinstriping, lettering, signs, banners, and
bicycles, but you could get your picture taken with
Rose. Cycle Connections Online Motorcycle Magazine was also set up in Bartle, covering the show
and promoting the support of the charitable organizations attending this year’s All-American Invitational Motorcycle Show.
NASCAR King Richard Petty headlined the list
of celebrities included in the excitement at this
year’s World of Wheels extravaganza. Petty is always easy to spot in crowd, since he is always
decked out with his signature cowboy hat and
sunglasses. Son, Kyle Petty accompanied Richard
at this Kansas City appearance. Kyle will be leading
the 20th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride
Across America from Carlsbad, CA to Daytona
Beach, FL, Saturday, May 3 through Saturday, May
10, 2014. There will probably be more than one
hundred fifty riders accompanying Kyle on his
cross-country trek. A few years back, the Petty
Charity Ride made a pit stop in Kansas City for a
day, and there was an opportunity to share a BBQ
dinner with Richard and Kyle. This year, even
though their route does not bring them through
K.C., it would be a reasonable guess that Kyle will
be making the 3,000-mile run on a Harley-Davidson Road Glide.
Disney Channel’s 18-year-old Laura Marano
was the highlight attraction for many teenage boys
at the World of Wheels and All-American Invitational Motorcycle Show. Laura is the star of the Disney series “Austin & Ally”.
Also signing autographs and posing for pics
was retired wrestling personality Shawn Michaels
from WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) fame.
During his early career, Michaels wrestled in
Kansas City and teamed with Marty Jannetty as
