Step Seven: Negotiate Terms
Sponsorship package levels may be generic or “cookie-cuter” to start, but
most prospective sponsors like to be able to customize their options:

Be Flexible
•
Be Creative and Offer Suggested Options for Consideration
•
Consider expense items you may be able to barter or trade for services.
It is important to know what you need and what you may be able to
give to receive it. (refer to expense items in budget)

Negotiate Acceptable Terms:

Allow prospective sponsor ways to customize their investment in
your program.

Discuss terms “negotiate” early to optimize opportunities for win/
win

Suggest opportunities for prospective sponsor to share levels if
applicable.
