12 Step Approach to Sponsorships Submitting Proposals - Timing/Method • Organizations receive many requests for support or sponsorship. Submit your proposal early to get the best chances for getting a “YES.” • Remember to consider the company’s budgeting cycle: • • Calendar year budgeting cycle: The organization may only review/ consider proposal requests August – November for funding during the next calendar year. • Fiscal year budgeting cycle: The organization may only consider proposal requests March – May for the upcoming fiscal year. • Quarterly budgeting cycle: The organization may consider request more frequently, reviewing request the prior quarter – for funding during an upcoming quarter. Some organization may accept paper or email proposals, while an increasing number will only accept proposals through an online submis-sion system often accessible from their website.
