Printing Services
On behalf of the team at Ellipsis Media, we would like to
thank all USQ staff for their support and patronage over the
past five years as the business model was tested for viability
in the external marketplace as a means of supporting the
internal USQ demand for print, design, sign writing and 3D
services.
We are very proud to share with you that the business has
been confirmed as a continuing commercial business unit for
USQ and we will continue to build upon our external market
niche whilst ensuring USQ retains the same consistent, high
quality, priority service it has enjoyed to date.
Gold Medal –
National Print Awards
Earlier this year, Ellipsis Media was nationally recognised for
its industry leading capability in full colour 3D printing with
the Gold Medal at the National Print Awards on 29 June 2018
in Sydney. Additionally, Ellipsis Media was commissioned to
design and 3D print all of the trophies presented to winners at
the National Print Awards (75 in total), which created a great
amount of excitement and interest from attending printery
businesses from across the country.
As we move forward, we will also be updating some of our
production equipment to meet the market demands of an
evolving industry. We have just taken possession of the new
AccurioPress 6136 black and white digital production press
and an envelope over printer to assist with mail outs and
variable data work.
3D Print at Parliament House
In October, our Gold Medal winning model was on display
at Parliament House in Canberra for the inaugural Print
2 Parliament event. The aim of the evening was to create
awareness in the country’s policymakers of the size and
importance of print to the economy, and to the development
of the country. Over 100 MPs and Parliament staff attended
the event that showcased the Printing Industries Association
of Australia’s national gold medal winning works, which
included the Ellipsis Media 3D model of the Vanguard Laundry
building in Toowoomba.
