Miami Modernist District is located in the Middle and
Upper Miami along Collins Avenue, as well as along the
Biscayne Boulevard corridor starting from around
Midtown, through the Design District and into the Upper
Eastside. The district features 1950s era motels, which
have been renovated and rehabilitated for adaptive use. Located on the NWC of heavily-trafficked Biscayne
Boulevard and 79th streets, Midpoint is a 347,000
mixed-use (retail and office) property sitting on
18-acres of land just north of the Mimo (Miami Modern)
district. Designed after New York’s High Line, the public bay-
front walkway has been proposed for the Edgewater
neighborhood. Key players including The Related Group
and Arquitectonica have conceived the 3 mile long
boardwalk, which will surely become one of Miami’s
most frequented waterfront amenities.
