Dilly: You two had the funniest promos. Going into your battle with Montez Love, what was the greater motivation; battling O’fficial or just the overall win? Hemi: I just felt like, I can’t come this close to drop the ball in the finals. When you talk as much s**t as me — i couldn’t afford that loss. I was posting like I was going win before the tournament started (Hemi laughs) But the most motivation was the photo shoot with Phara Funeral. (Hemi laughs) Dilly:  I forgot all about that. When is that set to go down? Hemi: No date yet, but I’m going to remind them, if they think I forgot. (Hemi laughs) Dilly: The big question here is: are you ready for O’fficial? Hemi: Yeah. Since I’m not big yet, I’m looking like the underdog; which is cool, since I’m not as popular nationwide, but O’fficial knows who the King of New Orleans is. And if she doesn’t know, she’s going to get reminded that night. Dilly: Do you feel that you have a lot to prove going into this battle? Hemi: The only thing I’m going to prove is that skill always beats popularity. She is as good as advertised, but I’m the “Best in America”. That’s the only thing I try to prove every battle. Dilly: Will this be a live battle, on 52 camera or radio? Hemi: This is going to be on camera, in New Orleans. Dilly: Do you have the date set yet? Hemi: November. No exact date yet. Dilly: Did you have a battle recently on Syndicate Cartel’s league? Hemi: Yeah; versus another up-and-comer named Goonchi. It was a dope experience, Hopefully I battle some of these “big” names. Dilly: How did you end up on Black Ice’s card? Hemi: Black Ice was listening to the radio, because she entered the battle too and did well. So of course she heard me and thought of me when she looked to replace a battler. I accepted, and shoutouts to Dell, because she been trying to plug me in. Dilly: When is your next battle? Hemi: August 17, 2014 on SpitDatHeat, versus CT — another body. (Hemi laughs) Dilly: What is your goal with battle rap? Hemi: To be known as the best rapper in the country and — eventually — the world. Let it be known that the best comes from Marrero, New Orleans. I just want to be number one; I don’t care about the profit or the fame. Shoutout to Queen of the Ring for always showing their supporters love and allowing them to showcase their talents and give them a platform to build from. Hemi has survived a great tournament; now he has one of the biggest battles coming up. Hemi has proved that he has bars and came to have fun, while finding endless opportunities to show that he’s the best rapper in America. — Dilly
