was like a sign saying to trust my
instinct and go with it!
Jon Rines: Wow! This should
be the theme every year for
Blackout!
Organik: That’s the plan. Blackout
is now a mystery event from now
on! I keep smiling every time I
look at the card because it’s so
great.
Jon Rines: How did the battlers
feel when you first mentioned it.
Organik: They loved it! Like I
said battle rap gets stagnant for a
lot of people especially the battle
rappers. Back in the day you could
tell a battler, “do this and you’ll
get 100,000 views! , but after a
while they are like whatever. It’s
like, this is their passion, this isn’t
a job, it’s something we took our
own time to create and we’re good
at. So if you find a way to make
it exciting again they are going
to want to be involved and that’s
what happened. I explained it to
them. Once you walk out, like
they’ve never had big intros so
when they walk out they get that
excitement and energy like that
WWE style without being corny.
This helps them too because they
are being announced alone so
it helps their brand and the day
of the event social media will go
crazy!!! I threw so many curve
balls it’s crazy. It’s like nobody
will be able to put the pieces
together for the event! Not even
the battlers know who they are
battling! I mean they know who
their competition is but they don’t
know any other battles. This is by
far the biggest King of the Dot
card!
Jon Rines: Anything you can
say on this rumored new main
event?
Organik: Which one? (laughs)
There’s so many! But by the time
this article drops another battle
will be announced. Not two
people, but actual battle.
Jon Rines: Okay, Well since you
Pat and Diz on the cover, let’s
talk about the main event. Was it
hard to set up?
Organik: Um Yeah! (laughs) Two
really big names and they are used
to having their demands, but
outside of battle rap Pat and Diz
are both my friends. Pat slept at
my parents house when we were
younger and I hangout with Diz.
