Novie Bendz: Okay Cool, Now
you’ve recently battled DNA
at Don’t Flop 5th Birthday
Weekend. How do you feel that
battle went and do you feel as if
it was a good match up?
Villun: It went very well. I was
more received by the crowd than
how I thought I’d be, and he
was pretty much how I thought
he’d be. The match-up itself was
good, it made me want to write
& perform better, and he’s a good
freestyler so I wanted to challenge
myself in terms of flipping his
lines or even his flips.
Novie Blendz: Yeah I have seen
some of your battles, but I can’t
wait to see that one. Im not sure
if Eurgh has dropped it yet or
has he?
Villun: Not yet. It comes out on
Christmas day.
Novie Blendz: Wow well and a
Merry Christmas it will be to see
the battle (lol) ... but I wish it
would come out sooner.
Villun: I’m looking forward to it
dropping too, it was a good one.
Novie Blendz: Okay Now for
a more complex and Personal
question. Do you feel that your
opponents use your “Albinism”
in there bars because they have
run out of written material? Or
do you think they just assume
that it gets to you?
Villun: I think it’s a crutch for
them because they have little to
say to me outside of that. It’s
been that way since my tryout,
bar J-Smug & maybe Ark, all
of my battles have felt like the
same battle. The opponent may
be different but the content
remains the same, that’s how I
see it. My material changes, the
opponent changes, but the lane
of attack remains constant. I’ve
never had an opponent discredit
me as a rapper which to me is the
most important thing in terms
of challenging myself. I guess it
works as a compliment though;
in the sense that if they can’t tell
me I’m a bad rapper but can point
out that I look like this or that
then I’m not really losing out
so it doesn’t bother me. It just
reinforces that belief.
Novie Blendz: I agree I noticed
when your clearly winning a
round or just like the battle with
you vs Unanonymous when you
clearly won that’s when “those”
type of bars comes out. In my
opinion I would’nt care if you
were blue with white spots like
the Nahvie from Avatar (lol)....
