Introduction
Last week we saw that we are to bring shalom to the world. We need to “act justly” and
“love mercy.” We are to be engaged with our neighbours and with the poor and
marginalized.
We saw that a deep social conscience and a life poured out in deeds of service to others,
and especially to the poor, is the inevitable sign of real faith and a real relationship with
God.
To introduce you to the final devotion of this series, we willfocus on the earthly city and
the heavenly city; our home now and our heavenly home; the world that is and the world
that is to come.
This week, which is the final week in this series, we will be thinking about ETERNITY.
