Fun facts
• In the UK, especially in the working-class families, the word ‘tea’
can sometimes mean an evening meal, or dinner. While the upper
classes had their Afternoon Tea at the low tea table at 5 pm, the
factory workers ate their ‘tea’ at the dinner table. That was how
dinner got the name ‘High Tea’.
