NEED FOR CHARITY CONCERTS AND TO INVOLVE

YOUNG PEOPLE IN THEM.David, Raúl and Martín (2º AB-BB)

All the money collected for the concert went to ACNUR (The UN Refugee Agency).

In the concert all the classes of the high school played some song. The ticket cost 2€, but you could also donate if you wanted, and we got to gave to ACNUR 600€.

Our class played "Hit the road Jack."

By doing this we acomplished a dream: All people have the same possibilities.

The song that our group played was “Where is the love” by Black Eyed Peas.

At first, we didn't give as much as we can, we were excited but we didn't want to learn the music sheet, due to it wasn´t very funny to study it.

Some weeks before the concert we were a little bit disappointed because we didn´t play very good the song. The rhythm was a mess!!

Finally we realized, that we had to study the score, because if we didn´t learn it, it would be a disaster. Luckily, the last week before the concert we played the song in a good way and we understood better the rhythm. We were very happy!

Some days before the concert we planned the clothes we would dress and the materials we would use to make funnier the concert: like several crowns for our hair (in the case of girls). We also decided to design our T-shirts and to buy some helium balloons, but they were so expensive so finally we decided to buy normal balloons with heart´s shape.

The expected day arrived, we were very nervous some moments before the concert, but when we went to play on stage, it was worst, due to there were a lot of people looking us. Therefore we were very excited to play the song that we had prepared so much.

In the afternoon the nervous disappeared but not at all, because there were more known people. Our opinion is that we played good but we could do it better.

WHAT DOES THIS CONCERT MEANT FOR US? We were satisfied because our work had been rewarded and people liked the concert. We also felt good about ourselves, because the raised money was for ACNUR and a little money for us means help for them. For us it was the most important reason of this concert!

We also want to thank to our teacher for all her work, because without her help it wouldn´t be possible!

In the camps for refugees, there are a lot of people including children and they are in very bad conditions and without resources to live. With that concert we gave some money to them and we helped a little bit with that problem.

REFUGEES NEED YOUR HELP AND WE COULD GIVE TO THEM SOME CONFIDENCE, EVERYBODY CAN DO SOMETHING.
