Our members are valuable to us in their participation, volunteer work,
fundraising, and donations of both time and money.
Active members of the Schroon Lake Association are eligible to vote for
Officers and Board Members at our annual meeting in August. They also
receive copies of our newsletters, and are welcome guests at Schroon
Lake Association Board Meetings, so this is another way to make yourself
heard and to become a part of our projects and activities!
All the profits that the SLA derives from events, such as the Arts and
Crafts Fair, go toward our continuing efforts to protect and maintain the
health and welfare of the lake (e.g., hiring a certified lake manager as a
consultant, funding scientific studies of the lake water, underwriting the
fees involved in CSLAP and ensuring that there are sufficient funds for
milfoil harvesting).
