Forst Regrowth:
According to a study published in Landscape Ecology in 2012 forest growth in the Manuel Antonio National Park has increased from 1985-2008. This is a direct affect of ecotourism on the country.
Ecotourism seems to be a very beneficial system that Costa Rica has in place. There has been positive affects on the economy and on the conservation of the land. It has also brought a lot of awareness to becoming more ecofriendly. Since ecotourism is a relatively new form of tourism, only time will tell if ecotourism will do harm to this country.
