Ecotourism Locations!!

1. Santa Rosa National Park: This park is located 22 miles north of Liberia in Guanacaste Province. It is one of the oldest parks and was established in 1971. There are dense dry forests and even beaches. This is a great location for catching sea turtle births. There is an entrance fee of $10.

11. Manuel Antonio National Park: It is located in Canton de Aguirre, Puntarenas. The phone number is 506 2777 5185. It is located on the Pacific Coast. There is a primary forest, swamps, lagoons and beaches. Migrating whales and dolphins can be spotted off shore at times.

20. Tortuguero National Park: Located in Limon, which is in the northeastern part of Costa Rica. The phone number of the national park is 506 2522 6500. The main attraction are the Green Sea, Leatherback, and Hawksbill turtles that nest at this beach. There are also canals that tourists can take boats down to see the manatees and otters.

24. Irazu Volcano National Park: Located near Juan Santamaria International Airport in Cartago. Here you can see craters and burnt trees from its last volcanic explosion in the 1960s. There is a $7 entrance fee.
