IMMIGRANTS STRENGTHEN SOCIETY RETHER THAN BURDEN COUNTRY AND THREATEN TRADITION
We live in an age where the whole world is connected and where minute changes in anyone’s country are bound to affect the whole globe. Due to various wars, dictatorial regimes, famine, etc. one of the main problems of the world are immigrants.
In my experience, most people are opposed to others immigrating and living with them, they consider them lesser in some way and a waste of space. The reason these people are xenophobic is because they associate immigrants with whatever problem they have in their country. It makes sense in their mind; if they come from a war-torn country then, of course, that means an increase in crime in the country they are immigrating to. That kind of thinking, however, is fallacious as the people are running from the wars, not bringing them. If that arguments fails people tend to resource to saying that immigrants only drain tax money, however, that also isn't true.
When people immigrate, they are going to need some help in the beginning of course, but afterwards, they always end up bringing in more money than was originally spent on them. All counties have jobs that most people won't do, but immigrants, being desperate to be able just to survive would be happy to accept those job opportunities. They also help to increase the population in the some countries that need it (Serbia comes to mind). Aside from that, they diversify the culture and serve to make people more tolerant.
While it may seem paradoxical that people dislike immigrants and accuse them for all their problems, it's the immigrants that end up solving their problems, and even bringing true peace.
