EDITORS NOTE
Another magazine I’d like to pay our respect to is Colorado Fisherman
Magazine. Although the magazines run was short lived it was still made
a big impact on many Colorado anglers. One thing Colorado Fisherman
did that Colorado Fishing & Hunting News failed to do was only use local
writers. Writers that have actually fished the bodies of water they were
writing about, not freelance writers pretending to have first-hand
knowledge in order to score a check. The brothers Don and Ken Broeren
compiled a list of great local writers and produced a first class magazine.
In my opinion the magazine was ahead of its time.
At BTFM we know it’s important to learn from those who came before
us. We know and understand the responsibility that comes with becoming the voice of Colorado anglers. We can’t fill a magazine with “how to”
articles and feel like we’re doing anglers justice. Inside the pages of
BTFM magazine you’ll find a little bit of everything. Our goal isn’t to
come out with a run of the mill fishing magazine with a splash of local
flair. Our goal is to become the voice of anglers in Colorado and keep
our readers up to date on everything fishing related in Colorado.
One of the most important aspects in us becoming the voice of Colorado anglers will be feedback from our readers. Please email me your
feedback about BTFM magazine and let me know what we can improve
on, and what you think we’re doing well. With your input and our dedication we’ll make each issue better than the last.
Tight lines,
Eric Allee
