We present to you yet another issue of the Freshers’ Express, the second

venture of the English magazine, hitherto referred as the EMAG . The first issue came out two years back in 2012 when a limited number of copies were printed under the aegis of the DEBSOC, the Debating Society of NSIT.The same concept of classroom writing during class hours was followed.

The motto this time was the following:

"The best author will be the one who is ashamed to become a writer."

( Friedrich W.Nietzsche German philosopher, poet, composer and critic: 1844 –1900)

This activity was initiated with the idea that the fresh entrants had something novel to say and that they had the capability to say it in so many ways. Many students felt they had nothing much to write about while some felt their opinions hardly mattered or that they were not good at writing and therefore needed more time to write. In orders to engage all the students in a writing spree, entries from all the students were collected.

The students were asked to ponder, deliberate, quantify, analyze and then put their thoughts, expressions and opinions on paper. The topics ranging from social, political, educational, both old and current were given so that the candid opinions and confessions could be recorded, read and understood by others. It was an all inclusive theme so that maximum writing and expressing was done. We had quite a number of good writings and have only chosen the best few.

The editorial team comprising Devesh Singhal(42/A/14), Akshay K. Sood(13/A/14), Anmol Chandra Singh(22/A/14), Ashish Mandawat(31/A/14), Adhiraj Singh Chandel(10/C/14) and Kislaya Ranjan(62/A/14) has worked hard on the logistics including conceptualizing, selecting, imaging, typing to name a few.

We proudly present to you the opinions, reviews, feelings, perceptions,

attitudes and sentiments of the freshmen of NSIT 2014 in this second edition of Freshers’
