(continued) make interesting politics going forward; the feds have reached a tentative deal with the state to continue Florida's Low Income Pool (LIP) health-funding program for two years; supporters of Amendment 1 recently filed a lawsuit claiming lawmakers misappropriated more than $300 million of the money voters wanted for environmental land management and acquisition; there is a lingering possibility of another Special Session if the Florida Supreme Court rules on whether lawmakers need to go further in redrawing congressional districts; the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to issue a decision soon that could affect the health-insurance coverage of Floridians; and the status of the state's gambling "compact" with the Seminole Tribe is also up in the air.
