Наталия Александрова, УАСГ, София SUMMARY The traditional approach to the learning process represents a demonstration of the possibilities of digital photogrammetric workstations and teaching for practical training on their usage. It is proposed a combination of learning approach in demonstration mode with learning in inquiry mode is suggested that is very attractive for increasing the efficiency and the quality of educational process. For this purpose in common software system are integrated the variants of correct measurements, measurements with random errors and measurements with severe errors. The functionality of the system allows comparison of the results obtained in different cases. The results obtained by the learner could be included in such comparison procedure too. This allows to direct attention of trained person to critical situations in measurement process. Such an approach allows achieving in short time duration the knowledge about the correct measurement approach and to demonstrate the most often appeared errors and the results obtained in such cases. The practical implementation of this approach requires the development of a specialized processing system which is connected to data sets containing different measurements and their results. The development of such a system in open source code environment allows not only to lead the training process for measurement and processing in digital photogrammetry but also to guide the education process for the program realization of basic photogrammetric procedures. The examples of usage of such system developed in MATLAB environment are presented for the purposes of camera calibration and stereopair orientation.
