The Public Leadership Institute of Polk County Application deadline: Friday, March 16, 2018 Dear Business-minded Aspiring Political Leader: Thank you for applying to the Public Leadership Institute of Polk County, a nonpartisan program of BusinessVoice, the political arm of the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce. The program’s mission is to educate Polk County business-minded leaders who are interested in learn- ing how to engage in the political process, including running for office, and advocate for the use of business principles to address public issues. Applicants from throughout Polk County are invited. There is no cost to apply and all participants will receive a full scholarship thanks to the support of our sponsors. Only a limited number of applicants will be selected to participate based on a competitive selection process. ________________________________________________________________________________ The program will include three classes to be held on April 6, April 20, May 4 and May 18 at Southeastern University from 8:30am - 4:30pm with a VIP reception following the final class.
