Fashion Buying and Brand Management 2018 Lookbook 2018

Welcome to the first graduating cohort of BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Brand Management. Students learn the mindsets and skillsets required for trend forecasting, product development, concept development, colour management and colour discrimination, fabric selection, range planning, garment technology, brand psychology, 360 degree brand management, marketing, visual merchandising and sustainability in relation to all of the above areas. CAD sessions are embedded throughout the course, resulting in high standards of presentation and fully rounded graduates ready for the industry. Targeted careers include Fashion Forecasting, Fashion Buying, Product Development, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Ethical Fashion Management, Brand Management, Fashion Marketing and PR, and a range of transferable skills ensure that students can move seamlessly to other sectors of the creative industries. Students graduating from this course have the opportunity to gain an additional internationally recognised qualification as Associate of the Textile Institute (ATI). Our Fashion Buying and Brand Management students complete a fully accredited ten-week placement in their second year. Recent placements include Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Harvey Nichols, Christopher Raeburn, Timothy Everest, Reiss, Ted Baker, Max Mara, John Lewis, Kurt Geiger, House of Fraser, Lipsy and Skinnydip. Another highlight for this cohort to add to their wealth of experience is a visit to MAS Holdings in Sri Lanka to study sustainable manufacturing.
