Mayor-Elect Gennawey and Mayor Pro Tem-Elect Jennings will be officially sworn in at the December 5 Council meeting. "The coming year is a very exciting one for Laguna Niguel," said Gennawey. "As a resident of Laguna Niguel for 32 years, it will be an honor to serve the residents of our City as their mayor. I have worked side by side with the incredible people of our City and encourage citizen participation as that is the strength of our City. I look forward to working with the rest of the City Council to bring forward the best policies that prioritize public safety, fiscal conservatism, and high quality of life for everyone from our very youngest to our most senior senior citizens. Kristine Ridge Named Laguna Niguel's 3rd City Manager The City Council recently named Kristine Ridge as City Manager after a nationwide executive recruitment search, which attracted over 50 qualified applicants. She will assume her role as City Manager in early January 2018. With over 25 years of experience in local government, mostly with the City of Anaheim, Kristine has an excellent track record in implementing policies, managing complex projects, and overseeing City operations. In addition, Kristine began her career as an auditor, steadily gaining experience with appointments as City Auditor, City Treasurer, Finance Director, Human Resources Director and Deputy City Manager for the City of Anaheim.
