C ommunity Invitation to Farewell Retirement Reception for
C hief of Police Services Matthew Barr

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Community members are invited to congratulate Chief of Police
Services Matthew Barr on his impending retirement. After 33 years of
service with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the last 4 1/2
years in Laguna Niguel, Chief Barr is retiring on January 4. The City is

hosting a community reception to celebrate his achievements, and
everyone is invited to stop by to wish him farewell and a happy retirement.

City Facilities: Holiday Closures
Please take note of the following closures and modified hours during the
holiday season. All City facilities will resume normal business operations on
Wednesday, January 3.
C ity Hall: City Hall will be closed Monday, December 25 through January 2, 2018.
Limited staff will be available to answer phone calls on Thursday, December 28 and
Friday, December 29. Building inspectors will be available for inspections December
