Crown Valley Park Community Center, One Step Closer
On May 1, the City Council approved the plans and bid documents to advertise construction
of the New Crown Valley Park Community Building and related improvements. The existing
Community Building and staff office trailers will be replaced by a new 30,000 square foot
Community Center along with realignment of the drive aisle and parking adjacent to the new
building, a new plaza and other pedestrian-oriented site amenities, renovation of the existing
pool deck and modest exterior improvements to the south side of the City-owned YMCA
building. The cost estimate for the project is $28,000,000, which has been already saved up
and set aside for this project. The City will not incur any debt for this project. Bids will be
opened on June 19 and the demolition phase of the project is scheduled to start on August
