The City Council opened their regular City Council meeting by individually expressing their outrage and dismay for the County’s proposal and each pledged to take whatever action necessary to prevent any negative impact on the quality of life for residents. Following their comments, the City Council heard public testimony from more than 50 speakers, who shared a myriad of concerns with the County’s proposal and spoke in support of the City resisting the County’s efforts to move the homeless encampment from the riverbed in Anaheim to a residential neighborhood in Laguna Niguel. A record-breaking 500 individuals attended the meeting and indicated their support of each of the speakers. For the first time, the City Council meeting was livestreamed on Facebook Live with over 13,000 views!
