SEPTEMBER - BUSY MONTH FOR THE
MILITARY SUPPORT COMMITTEE
With temperatures nearing the century mark,
sailors and families from the USS Stockdale joined
local volunteers
and members of
the City’s Military
Support
Committee, at a
car wash
fundraiser on
Saturday,
September 19th
at Plaza de La Paz Center. To the delight of the
servicemen and their families who travelled from San
Diego, hundreds of supporters came out to have their
cars cleaned and meet the crew.
Blaze Pizza, Corner Bakery, Tony Pepperoni
Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Chick-Fil-A, donated
lunch for our hardworking sailors and volunteers,
while members
of the local LDS
Church donated
delicious homemade cookies.
